Professor Tsushima's research interests include social psychology, social
inequality, the family, and community studies. Tsushima's work assumes a social
psychological perspective toward exploring how the characteristics of social
contexts shape family-level processes and outcomes. Current research also
considers the role of family- and community-level processes in creating and
sustaining class-, race-, and gender-based inequalities.
