Nancy A Norman

Norman has provided administrative support to the institute for more than 20 years.  She is the institute liaison to Human Resources, maintains administrative systems, works with the director, unit heads, accountant and clerical staff.  Norman is currently the President of Orchard Place, a facility for mentally ill and troubled youth in Des Moines.  She is a Field Interviewer for institute research projects and provides tours at the Des Moines Art Center.  Norman was previously the Commissioner of the Iowa Department of Human Services, the Director of the Iowa Department of Human Rights, and the Director of the Iowa Commission for the Blind.
