WebScratch is a free service from ISU that allows you to send files up to 150MB. When sending files larger than 35 MB, ISU's mail system will block your e-mail from being sent, so WebScratch is the preferable method. WARNING: Do NOT use WebScratch for confidential information as the files will be stored on a public server. To use WebScratch, go to http://asw.iastate.edu/ and log in using your Iowa State id and password.
Click on "Manage User [Your ISU-ID]"
Click on "Use WebScratch instead of emailing huge files!"
Use the "Browse..." button to find and upload your file. Then enter the e-mail address of the recipient and a message if you'd like. You and your recipient will receive an e-mail with a link to the file. The file can be accessed without any credentials so do not use Webscratch for confidential information. You can only e-mail one person from WebScratch, but you can forward the message using your email.
After you click the Upload button, information similar to that below will appear on the screen, and you and your recipient will receive an email with the link to the file. You can delete files from WebScratch at any time, but files will be removed after 10 days. Any deletions from WebScratch are permanent, so ensure that your file is backed up on your computer.
