How to setup a Private Network
Connection to the Institute in Windows XP.
-
Click the start
button, and go to settings, and then click on control panel.

In the control
panel window double click the Network Connections Icon.

In the Network
Connections window click on Create a new network connection.
-
Click next and
select the Connect to the Network at my workplace option and click
next.
-
Select the Virtual
Private Network connection and click next.
-
Type in ISBR VPN
Connection for the company name and click next.
-
Type in
portal.isbr.iastate.edu for the Host Name and click next.
-
Select the My Use
Only option and click next.
-
Check the add a
shortcut for this connection to the desktop box and click finish.
