How to log on

When you click on a link you may see a box asking you for your username and password.  Depending on what version of Windows you see you may see either of these prompts:

Windows XP

Windows 2000

In order to log on successfully you must know your windows username, password and domain If you do not know this information you can check this while you are at work by pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL and looking at who you are logged in as.

Windows 2000 is very clear in the information it is asking for but Windows XP can be a bit confusing.  The domain can be added to the username in several ways.  For example: Username = Joeblow  Domain = Somewhere ... could log with Windows XP by adding the domain to the front of the user name box as Somewhere\Joeblow or to the end of the user name as Joeblow@Somewhere.

If you have problems logging in their may be many different reasons why it is not working for you. Please make a fill out a support request form with the following information:

  • The version of Windows you are using
  • What web browser you are using
  • The internet connection you are using
  • Whether or not you saw the login box
  • What the error message was
  • What web page you were trying to access
  • The user name/domain/password combinations that you tried

Without the above information the computer support staff will not be able to diagnose where the problem might be.
